Cumbres Pass, Colorado/La Manga Pass, Colorado
Cumbres Pass, elevation 10,022 ft (3,055 m), is a Colorado mountain pass in the San Juan Mountains, in the southern part of the state. The pass is traversed by Colorado State Highway 17 and the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. If you're heading south on the road or on the railway, you will enter New Mexico just a few miles after you hit the bottom of the pass. The pass normally sees a lot of snow, but the road is not a major through highway, either, but it is sometimes closed because of heavy snow in the winter, too.
