Pueblo is the county seat and the most populous city of Pueblo County, Colorado. The population was 111,876 in 2020 census, making it the ninth most populous city Colorado. Pueblo is situated at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek, on the southern end of the Colorado Front Range. It is one of the largest steel-producing cities in the U. S. Pueblo has the least expensive residential real estate of all major cities in Colorado, and is the sixth most affordable place to live in America as measured by the 2014 Cost of Living Index. Located in Colorado's "Banana Belt", it has a high desert climate and tends to get less snow than any of the other major cities in Colorado. It's also one of the hottest places in the state in the summer, yet on winter nights, it's one of the coldest spots on the Front Range.
