Caught Willie Nelson's show the other night, and had
a chance to talk with the man hisself apres gig.
Asked him about Keith's appearing with him couple a
months back.
Willie said Keith spoke with him on the bus prior
to the show, but made no mention of joining him onstage.
He was surprised and jazzed when Keith later came
out, strapped on Willie's electric and joined him
on Milk Cow Blues, Hank Williams' My Bucket's Got A
Hole In It and Jambalaya "and one other one, I think."
Great to meet and chat with a true American treasure like Willie.
Friendly, nice, and humble.
He got a big laugh when a young kid came up to him
and called him "the coolest old man ever !!"
Hell, he's 66, and he's still doing it every night.
If The Stones want to tour at that age,
I'll still pay for the privilege.
