Yeah, I hear a little of it from the room with the closed door. He's talking about playing trombone in a ska band to see what it's like!
I like the guitar stuff better. But, at least he's using the tabs occasionally (17 year olds seem to have incredibly short attention spans!)
Back to Dallas 72 - I have a brother in law thats been in bands since the mid 70's (no more, his hearing is getting really bad at 41, you kids out there should consider hearing protection, or you won't be able to enjoy the music that so inspires you.) He's a really, really talented drummer whose father played with Frankie Yankovick (polka king - I'm from Cleveland, what can I say!)
But I carried equipmennt, fetched beers, laid 1,000,000 feet of duct tape, and suffered through far too many band practices because that's where the (name 1, chicks, beers, smoke, blow or whatever was), and the Stones don't practice much different from anyone else. The biggest problem with the Dallas 72 stuff is the lack of involvement from Mick Jagger. He sounds like he walks up to the mic when his beer runs out, blets out a line or two and then goes looking for another beer.
But don't get me totally wrong - I'd recommend this cd to hardcore fans. The kind that can listen to the average 72 or 69 audience recording and find a reason to listen to it more than once. But if a complete song is what you're after, this isn't the way to get it.
