Hey everybody,
Had an amazing time last night. Great to meet y'all. I still can't believe how great MT
was. I was quickly able to get over the fear factor that accompanies watching Ronnie Wood
do a solo. He was so smooth and precise, without being a boring wanker as so many
"great guitarists" are. His singing was also really enjoyable. The great thing
was, I got over the "I wanna' hear a Stones song" feeling, right away; and it's
not often that you hear new songs and they really get you. He seemed to be enjoying
himself; dancing around a bit here and there and just really quite enthused about the
whole thing, instead of the moody, nervous guy I've heard about. I agree wholeheartedly
with Mr. V's review, but I still have hope for some future Stones involvement. I totally
understand Mick and Keith's attitude about him quitting, but c'mon. How much time has to
pass before an olive branch is extended? Who knows how much time there is? My big regret
is that Ronnie didn't replace Bill back in 74 when he was making retirement noises. They
oughtta let by gones be gone already and Ronnie should lead the campaign for the greater
good of everybody involved.
Well, see y'all,
Shawn
