I would choose Beggars Banquet as the album, although I don' t want to start the old thread again. It just doesn' t hit me as much as the otehr classic and also most non- classic albums.
At the moment I can' t find a clear most overrated song, but Gimme Shelter would perhaps also be a good choice for me. Although it is good, it also never was among my personal favourites.
Since it friday and things are slow I'll start a new thread with my answer.
: Most overrated Stones album for me is EOMS. That should not surprise anyone here who knows me. Please note that doesn't mean I don't like it, it just always seemed overrated to me. A close second would go to Steel Wheels which I never understood all the hype it got when it came out. Overrated song? Gimme Shelter. I very much like this song. It makes my top forty Stones song list (35). But it seems that most Stones fans like this song the best if you go by our on going song poll. Not me. Yes its a good song, but IMO, overrated.
