Thanks FB, I perfer the word "escapade" as it summed up not only that nite but also my teen years to a tee. But its funny, I almost didn't post that story last nite course I though I wrote about it at our old board. But since you were there and don't remember it, guess I didn't.

Yeah. Not that there was anything wrong when I saw them in '75 but in '72 they were different and better.

Yes and no. They were to a point still laying the groundwork for today, but you got to
realize in '72 that they may have still been a young band (age wise) - but they were an
old rock band already, for that time period. Lets face it, in '72 there were very few rock
bands that were around as long as the Stones had been. That in itself was as big news in
'72 as it is today. Funny but by '72 the rumors about how much longer the Stones would
stay together were just like it is today. Rock bands just weren't supposed to last that
long back then and the Stones were the exception to the rule. They also were already big
time news by then and had been for years. The NYC TV stations made their '72 MSG shows top
lead off news stories. Mick's birthday party a few days later was the talk of the town and
the place to be. Every newspaper had a big story about it.
