: I agree that several songs have never been played live before are worth hearing. But in the old days the group only limited their setlists and would premiere several songs from whatever the new album they had released at the time. They would do rehearsals performing songs from previous albums and the current albums. If things didn't work out with a song they would not use it as part of their setlist.Sometimes the group would play songs even before the songs were ever released on an album. Here are some examples
: Loving Cup(played at 1969 Hyde Park Concert, but never released on a album till 1972. That album was Exile on Main Street)
: You Gotta Move(played acoustic with Mick and Keith in 1969, and 1970. Later featured on 1971 album Sticky Fingers)
: Brown Sugar(Played at Altamont in 1969 and then played during the 1970 European Tour. Also featured on Sticky Fingers.)
: Dead Flowers(played on 1070 European Tour. Also on Sticky Fingers)
: Worried About You(played in toronto 1977, is on Tattoo You)

Also, everything from Let It Bleed was played before the album was out. As I recall the album came out in December of 1969. They'd been playing stuff like "Love in Vain" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" since way before that. Well, "YCAGWYW" was played at the Rock and Roll Circus in 1968, and "Love in Vain" was played at Hyde Park, as was "Midnight Rambler." The 1969 tour started in November, so audiences got a premature look at Let It Bleed.

I love 1969. I only wish I'd been there for it.
