Agreed..Mick has never really gotten his due as the driving force behind the Stones. Through sheer force of will, he kept the band together during the '70's when Kieth was deeply into heroin.
In concert, nobody works a crowd like Jagger. He is, IMO, the greatest live entertainer of the 20th century. Over the years, Keith's had his share of off nights, and in my opinion he's been coasting for the last several years, but Jagger's never given it less than his all.
Give credit where it's due: I think Keith is more responsible for the writing of the Stones best songs.
It's hard to say which one is more important: With Mick and Keith the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. If forced to choose, I think most Stones fans would favor Keith, but I like being a contrarian, so I'll go with Mick as the #1 Stone.
