Well, this is about Taylor, who I consider the best guitarist ever in the Stones. But without Keef, it wouldn't be as havy, but again Taylor was in many ways the reason Stones were so good in the early seventies.
Mr Taylor is a shy man, we all know that, and Jimmy Page is not. (we don't have to talk about that?:-)
That could mean that Jimmy d a r e d to play fast with all his tecnique, and we know that it sounds impressive.
And sometimes of course very good.
But our Taylor didn't want to be in the spotlight (we know how it went for Brian, he wanted to be in the spotlight, but it all ended up with huge
quarrels), so Mick often just played kinda laid back solos and he didn't .
I believe if he wasn't as shy with his guitar, dared to show his claws, he would become even better
