What??? Brian only played lead a couple of times??? You need to get out your early albums and listen to them again. Who do you think is playing all the countless lead slide parts all over those early albums? Hint, Keef didn't learn how to play slide till '68. On countless early songs Keef played rhythm, not only on the songs Brian played lead guitar but on many other songs where Brian played a lead instrument other than guitar. On most of those songs where Brian played sitar, dulcimer, recorder, etc., Keef was playing the rhythm. And yes, I agree he plays it better than the others.
