I think the injustices will continue as long as the major record buying public awards accolades (of dubious worth, to be sure!) to cosmetics and veneers (and good-looking white skin)instead of to those who have paid their dues and are truly worthy of them. I hate to say it, but we all know deep down it is horrifyingly true: skin colour is still an issue when yer biggest money spenders are white folks.
That's why I'm so impressed with Keith's decision to buy and back Hubert's record financially and put some English white boy muscle behind it. And that's why I chuckle every time I think of Chuck demanding cash payment in full before stiking one out of key raucous chord!
