Couple disagreements: Martin may not have been a great producer but he was invaluable to the group. Who do you think it was that scored 3/4th of the orchestral sections, the horns, organs, etc.? Listen to songs like Eleanor Rigby, In My Life, A Day in the Life, and on and on and on. Those are Martin touches. Second, I'd say even though he's shaky alot, McCartney's done better solo work than Harrison, who's essentially put out one strong album(s) in thirty years, and who puts nothing out for decades at a time.
