From the very first time that I heard them. It was either late '63, or whenever they started to play them over the radio in NYC, maybe early '64. I remember telling my two older sisters that they sounded better than the Beatles. They though I was crazy. It seemed nobody liked the Stones better than the Beatles in the early days - except me anyway.
