I agree with some of what you say, but Lennon's one of the best singers ever. Mick's good, but John brings about 100x the feeling. Mick gets it done through attitude. Also, the solo Beatles stuff has been spotty since the 70s, but each had at least one very good to excellent album and a score of good singles. I don't think anybody but Stones diehards would say the same for their solo albums, esp. when there's not many to choose from.
