I think you have a pretty myopic view of the band, its history, and its fans.
Not all of the "old farts," a term which you inappropriately apply to anyone with whom you apparently disagree, thinks B2B is bad.
And not all of us have fried our brains on drugs
(Of course some of us have pretty good size brains, so it takes awhile -- give me a bit more time)
The sad part, I think, is that you seem to be missing a very important part of what the band has always been about.
Mick is not some fifty-something acting like a rebel -- he is a rebel -- always has been, and always will be.
And the band has always stood for rebellion and the special pleasures of doing something wrong
It is how Andrew Oldham marketed them because it is how they are
And many of us appreciate the fact that the Stones scoff at mainstream ideas like doing drugs will necessarly fry your brain or that being bad is, well, bad.
You like B2B, and ASMB, and Tattoo You, Great!
You don't think Beggars and LIB are classics, fine.
You think all us old farts are brain deads listening to jangly music, no problem.
You are entitled to your opinions.
Doesn't make you right and us wrong!
PS - when was the last time Jesus toured, huh?
