: :Yes, I totally agree. Exile is my all time favorite record/cd. Mr. Ventilator, your comment about the smoky blues bar and energy and dissipation are right on point, very insightful. I would like to add that Exile is a very emotional and spiritual album (a great album to listen to when a relationship ends). I also think that Exile has a certain "Raw" quality, which contributes to the dissipation vibe that you mentioned. Also, Exile brings together a lot of musical styles (country, blues, gospel) very successfully. Anyway, I just love it!!!
: And speaking of RAW, does anyone like Iggy? The Stooges "Funhouse" is awesome. And Iggy has a very cool song called "Dirt". And finally, Iggy is phenomenal live. (Apologies for the non-Stonesy part).
: Hi, Factory Girl! A few months ago we had a discussion regarding regarding a singer's ability to captivate an audience. Of course, (being a tried and true Iggy fan) I posted that, in a live performance, the Igster outdid Mick in this category. I wasn't surprised when I got flamed...HOWEVER, then a lot of people joined in and said they, too, were Iggy fans. There are quite a few of 'em here. :-)....CR
