ROLLING STONES Web Site First worked on in November & December 1972, then recorded with new lyrics in May and June of '73. Released on Goats Head Soup in 1973, also released as a US single in '73. The Stones are not known for too many political songs, but this one took aim at the NYC police, after they killed a 10 year old out jogging in Queens with his father. They mistook the boy for an adult who had just robbed a cabbie, so said the trigger-happy officer who fired the fatal shot.
