Wolf Creek Ski Area is in southwest Colorado, located on Wolf Creek Pass between Pagosa Springs and South Fork. It is best known for receiving more average annual snowfall than any other resort in Colorado, at about 430 inches per year. During the 1978-1979 snow year, Wolf Creek Ski Area saw 807 inches of snow, which happens to be the record for the most snowfall ever fallen in one season in Colorado.
