Exactly the same point could be made about "Voodoo Lounge," and I agree with you that you have to look at an album as an entire piece of art, not a sum of its parts. So even if some CDs have some songs that stand out more in terms of individual excellence than most VL songs, as a whole, VL is their best effort since at least "Some Girls," if not "Exile" itself.
