Unlike those below, I agree totally with you. I was reading some reviews of the Stones' various albums and I came across something in the Love You Live review that I agreed with totally. That that album marked the time when the Rollng Stones went from the greatest rnr band in the world to the best rock showmen in the world. Prior to that time, there was just a level of spontaneity and energy that just got replaced by expert playing, no doubt usually, but, for lack of a better word, a parody of themselves. Keith and Ron do the little act, Keith has his same little solo song greeting, and be honest with yourself, Mick is not INTO the music anywhere like he once was. For every time he sings a song, on another one he's just running thru the words. I don't think Ronnie and Keith really do much for him anymore. He's in it for the $$$.
As compared to everything out there now, the Stones still put on a great show. But, be it age, boredom, wealth, or whatever what we see today isn't barely in the same ballpark as what was happening on-stage in the 60s and alot of the 70s. That's the truth, like it or not.
