I think it'd be interesting to see how many fans would buy a live album from an old tour. The Grateful Dead have had alot of success doing it, and more important they have made money giving thier fans what they want. If the Stones released complete performances from every tour, what would they lose? They could do exactly what the Dick's Picks series did. Release the first couple in the stores and then release most of the other releases via mail order or internet only.

They could release a raw 1972 show to the public, a raw 1981 show, and a raw 1969 show. After that, they could release one or two shows from every tour, AND they could release all of the special gigs or club gigs in the last 30 odd years.

: God Bless You for your suggestions on releasing the live material. Too bad they couldn't figure out how to make a profit on microscopic sales volumes, however. I'd buy every one if I could afford them, but not many others would.

: I also agree with your comments about changing albums, especially that most of the songs left off were not very good. You could say the same for some of the songs left on some albums.
