As Much as Charlie watts is the Stones, his presence on any particular studio song does not make or break the song. He is an amazing drummer and without him live they are not the stones. However, many other classic stones songs have featured other drummers bassist and whatnot. Bottom line is this. If you start making distinctions about who plays what on the song and make that your cutoff, them ever sympathy gets cut, because Bill hardly played on it.

: "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is great, but any song without Charlie Watts cannot be a definitive Stones song. I love what Jimmy Miller did for the band, but his drumming on this song can't touch what Mr. Watts could have delivered.

: Your other choice, "Honky Tonk Women," serves as testimony for this argument.
